K Youth Volunteer Mentor Program still has openings for mentors
to participate at both Findley and
Capitol View Schools. If you are interested in participating approximately
one to two hours per week contact Don Neumann (PH: 334-7277), committee
chairperson. This is an outstanding service.
3. Entertainment
Books will be on sale beginning August 30. The price this year will
again be $20 per book. Golden K receives 20% of the
proceeds if sales are 0 to 66 books. If we sell 67 or more books
our participation jumps to 50% of the proceeds. If you don't wish
to use coupons, how about contributing $6 to the club in lieu of
buying a book?
4.
Kiwanis Pancake Festival will be Saturday, October 20. Please
be sure to sell or purchase your allotted tickets and volunteer
to help with setup on Friday, October 19 or with the festival on
Saturday, October 20.
