Bulletin Board

     1. Our annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast will be at the State Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 21st.  Please pick up and pay for your tickets and see Ed Peterson to schedule your participation.

     2. Our District Lt. Governor, Margaret Ludington, installed our Officers and Directors on September 14. Terms begin October 1, but the installation was done a bit early as Virginia Petersen will be out of the city for a few weeks.

     3.  October 1 means it is time to pay your club dues. Please consider paying your dues one year at a time.

     4.  Don Neumann, Chair of our Youth Committee, announced that Capitol View and Findley School are ready for volunteer mentors to start the school year. Findley School hosted a volunteer organizational meeting  on September 25. It's not too late to sign up to spend an hour or two a week helping our youth - see Don Neumann..

    

Notes of Interest

  • Frank Loeffel's wife, Shan, passed away earlier this month. Our thoughts are with you, Frank.
  • Wayne Blewer suffered a severe heart attack and passed away on September 25. We extend our sympathy to Wayne's family..
  • Al Jordan is a patient in the skilled care center at Calvin Manor.
  • Reverend Kevin Korver, the father of well known basketball players, was our speaker on September 28. He told us "Life is a mystery to be celebrated, not a problem to be solved."
  • There will be a Board Meeting in the Map Room on October 26.
