  1. Golden K Kiwanis Club members exceeded our goal of $5000 to again send a group of Findley and Capitol View students to the Des Moines YMCA Camp this summer.  More than $5400 has been pledged and will be used to send 13 kids to camp.  Thanks to all volunteer contributors who helped by supporting this worthy cause.  In addition, we have provided funds to help send a group of Findley kids to Environmental Camp and we are discussing a similar program at Capitol View School .
  2. Roger Hudson reports that 100% of our 1st quarter 2008 dues have been paid by mid-February.  No wonder Roger has such a big smile currently.
  3. The Kiwanis Club of Johnston is having its annual Pancake Breakfast at the Wallace Elementary School , 6510 N.W. 62nd Street , Johnston , on Saturday, March 8.  The cost is $5.00 and covers all the pancakes you can eat.  In addition, they will be serving sausage, scrambled eggs, orange juice, coffee and milk.  Children 6 years and under are free and balloons will also be provided.
  4. The N.W. Kiwanis Club is sponsoring their traditional Maundy Thursday breakfast at Westminster Church at 7:00 am on Thursday, March 20.  Price is $7.00.  All Golden K members are invited to attend prior to our regular club meeting on March 20.
