  1. Golden K Kiwanis Club will again send a group of Findley and Capitol View students to the Des Moines YMCA Camp this summer.  We are committing to send 12 kids to camp and have set a fund raising goal of $5000 to accomplish this objective.  Effective January 31, we have pledges totaling nearly $4100.  Please join our volunteer contributors and help support this worthy cause.  To help with this project, please complete one of the goldenrod pledge forms and leave it on your meeting table and/or see Don Neumann for additional information. Nothing will make you feel better than to help 12 kids have a great time this summer and feel very good about themselves.
  2. The Golden K Youth Volunteer Mentor Program still has openings for mentors to participate at both Findley and Capitol View Schools.  If you are interested in participating, contact Don Neumann, committee chairperson.  This is an outstanding service which is focused on helping needy kids improve their reading and math skills.  Some participants have even reported that it helped improve their own skills in addition to helping others..
  3. We still have some 1st quarter club dues that are yet to be paid.  If your dues payment status is not yet current be sure to contact Roger Hudson to help resolve this issue.  Thanks for your help!
