Board
- Joe Evers has been working
hard to raise funds through the sale of a full sized and memorable
umbrella product and now has only a few left on hand. Joe
is making the remaining umbrellas available at the bargain price
of $15 each. See Joe to purchase your umbrellas.
Don't miss this opportunity to keep yourself dry, help raise funds
for our club and meet all of your special gift requirements in
one uplifting thrust.
- Several Golden K World
War II veterans have been participants on the Honor Flights to
visit the WW II memorial in Washington DC. It has been a
privilege for all members to hear the comments and experience
their deep feelings of pride and satisfaction as these veterans
report on their Honor Flight experiences during the Happy Days
segment of recent meetings.
- Pancake Day - October
16. Ticket envelopes will be available for members to pick
up at each club meeting beginning September 2nd. Also, begin
to think about what you would like to volunteer to do on Pancake
Day. The sign-up sheet will be available soon.
- Don Neumann is working
on recruitment of at least five additional elementary school mentors
to serve at Findley and/or Capitol View Schools. Achieving

deserving students at the two elementary schools that Golden K
assists. Contact Don to serve as a mentor or to explore
the mentor function. All commitments are very flexible.
- Tom Cady is requesting
volunteers to work a three hour session at the September Planned

for appropriate. ages to be distributed to Findley and Capitol
